Contribute to MB&D’s wish list!
Like what MB&D is doing? You can join many others who frequently donate to the cause!
Costuming Materials! Costumes for puppets and stilt dancers are custom made or adapted from scrounged stuff from thrift stores and closet findings. Isn’t it about time you cleaned out your closets and lightened your load and donated cool stuff to MB&D?
- Bolts of fabric…upholstery, drapery, shiny, sheers, fancy
- Buttons, notions, fringe
- Velcro; ribbons; sequins; feathers, fake fur, wigs
- military hats and coats
- tux tail coats; tux shirts; top hats, evening gowns
- funky vintage clothing and accessories
- vests, neck ties
- long waist coats, capes
- eye glasses; gloves
Puppet and Prop Materials! Creating puppets and props requires donated or scrounged materials. Gone dumpster diving lately?
- junky musical instruments and parts
- wind chimes
- floor lamps
- aluminum backpack frames
- aluminum tubing; radiant floor tubing
- plumbing pipe, hose, elbows, hose clamps and fittings
Stilt Parts! We wear out our stilts! New pairs are needed for new performers. Also, we’re upgrading 20 pair of stilt bindings to be safer (and by eliminating gorilla tape bindings they’ll be less expensive and more ecologically sound). Material donations and cash contributions help.
- 60 yards of 2” self adhesive industrial strength Velcro
- 100 yards of 1”-2” cotton twill tape
- foam pipe insulation and foam yoga mats.
Tools! Tools are expensive but essential for MB&D’s creative process. Isn’t it time you cleared out that shed? Donations of tools and cash contributions support MB&D’s viral wholesomeness and incessant joy.
- sewing machine (or repairs for our 4 inoperable machines)
- portable table saw
- portable jig saw
- 18 volt cordless drill
- 18 volt cordless circular saw
