Resolution Revolution
Resolution Revolution is an original metaphorical puppet play by Mark Alexander of the Mortal Beasts & Deities, featuring the puppets Hawk, Rooster and the Flock of Doves.
Resolution Revolution is about a world in which natural challenges are resolved in a non-violent manner. In a whirl of beauty and spectacle, Resolution Revolution winds through symbolized battles and stylized peace summits, greed and sharing, resentment and belonging. The splendid puppets dance their original choreography to live music, taking the audience to a dreamy utopian place where acceptance, optimism and unity is king.
Resolution Revolution was the natural evolution of ‘The Flock of Doves at Pentecost,’ the Flock of Dove’s commissioned debut at the Salisbury Congregational Church. Resolution Revolution was first performed at the Imagine Peace Festival in 2005, and since has been staged at Geer Village, Cornwall Consolidated School, the Kingston Artists Soapbox Derby, Connecticut News12 TV, and on the Naumburg Bandshell Stage for the Vigil for International Peace and Ecology in New York City’s Central Park.
Resolution Revolution is available for your indoor or outdoor stage, perfect for festivals and for enrichment workshops for large audiences. Staging the play requires special accommodations such as max headroom, firm traction and no stairs. Advance notice is also required to recruit the large cast of stilt dancing puppeteers, terra firma puppeteers, musicians and the backstage crew.
